Your Giving Matters
As an independent, non-public school, Shepherd Community Academy relies on the generosity of our partners to help our students succeed in and out of the classroom.
Shepherd Community Academy teachers believe that all our students can succeed! In addition to high academic standards, each teacher and staff member provides support and care for the whole child, helping their students succeed in life and school. YOU make this possible through your generous giving – either by giving your time, talents, or treasures! We believe in empowering everyone to give in a way that is meaningful, either by cash donations, volunteering, scholarships, church or corporations, or in-kind donations. No matter what or how you give, you are helping to provide quality education to students that will equip and empower them to break the cycle of poverty!
GIVING
Your generosity helps support a child’s physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs in and out of the classroom. Every dollar given to Shepherd Community impacts students and their families by offering wrap-around services and care to help build a future free from poverty – a future of hope!
Help Fund Scholarships
For kids living in poverty, access to a quality education is a critical step toward future stability. When you give toward a scholarship at Shepherd Community Academy, you provide a lasting benefit for our students. Shepherd Community partners with the Institute for Quality Education (IQE) as our Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO).
An SGO is a state-designated 501(c)(3) that provides financial needs-based scholarships to students enrolled in non-public schools, like the Shepherd Community Academy. And, by giving an SGO, you’ll receive a 50% tax credit toward your Indiana state tax liability and may also qualify for federal tax benefits. Individuals and businesses can access the SGO credit, and there is no limit on donation amounts. Learn more about SGO’s here.
Sponsor a Classroom
Classroom sponsors might donate books or art supplies, provide snacks, make an educational field trip possible, or sponsor a holiday party for your classroom. No matter how you support Shepherd Community Academy, your sponsorship supports teachers and students in the valuable work of education.

*All volunteers must pass a background check and attend volunteer training at Shepherd Community Center before serving for the safety and protection of our students.
